What is a workspace?

A workspace is where everything for your business lives in Repaint. It holds your sites, your data, and your chats with the AI, along with the people on your team. Your plan applies to the whole workspace.

You create your first workspace when you sign up. Most people name it after their business. You can also belong to more than one workspace, like your own and a client's.

What's in a workspace

• Websites. As many as you want. Each has its own address and can be published separately.
• Data. Form submissions, customer accounts, orders, bookings, and anything else your sites store.
• Dashboards. Custom admin screens the AI builds for you to manage your business.
• Chat sessions. Your conversations with the AI.
• Payments and email. Your payment setup, payouts, and email sending.
• Members. The people who can work in the workspace.

How the AI fits in

Chats with the AI belong to the workspace, not to a single website. The AI can see and work with everything in it, including your orders, customer accounts, and payments. That means you can manage your whole business from one conversation.

Roles

There are two roles:

• Owner. Handles billing, deleting the workspace, and other high-security admin tasks. Each workspace has one owner.
• Editor. Can see and edit everything in the workspace, including sites, data, dashboards, and payment information.

There are no finer-grained permissions. Everyone in a workspace can see everything in it, including customer information and payments. It's best to only invite people you trust, like employees or co-owners.

Plans and usage

Each workspace has one plan. That plan covers unlimited websites in the workspace. Everyone in it shares the plan's weekly AI allowance, seats, custom domains, and monthly email limit.

One workspace per business

We recommend one workspace per business. The AI, data, payments, and email are all shared across a workspace. Giving each business its own workspace keeps everything cleanly separated. If you build sites for clients, managing client websites covers how to set that up.
