How to invite people to your workspace
Last updated June 3, 2026
You can invite people to your workspace to build and edit sites with you. Inviting, removing, and changing roles all happen in your workspace settings. Anyone in the workspace can invite more people, and everyone joins as an editor.
Inviting people
- Open your workspace settings and go to Members.
- Click "Invite member."
- Enter the person's email and submit.
That sends them an invite email with a link to join. If they don't have a Repaint account, one is created for them and they land right in your workspace. If they already have an account, your workspace is added to their list, alongside any others they're in. Either way, they join as an editor.
Removing people
Only the owner can remove members.
- Open your workspace settings and go to Members.
- Click the delete button next to the person you want to remove.
- Confirm in the popup.
Once removed, they immediately lose access to the workspace and its sites. Their account still exists, it's just no longer part of this workspace.
Transferring ownership
Only the owner can change roles. You can only transfer ownership to someone already in the workspace, so invite them first if they aren't a member yet.
- Open your workspace settings and go to Members.
- Click the role dropdown next to the person you want to make owner.
- Set them as the owner.
This makes them the owner and demotes you to editor. They take over managing billing, members, and the workspace overall. Everyone stays in the workspace.
What members can do
There are two roles. Editors can build and edit every site in the workspace. The owner can do all of that too, plus manage billing, roles, and the workspace itself. See what a workspace is.
Adding people is free, and there's no limit on how many you can invite. Keep in mind that everyone shares the same weekly usage allowance, so a large group editing at once can run through it quickly.
