Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Autoember Inc., doing business as Repaint (“Repaint,” “we,” or “us”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use repaint.com and the Repaint app (the “Service”). It also explains how we handle the information your websites and apps collect about your customers.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account information, like your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your basic Google profile information.
• Your content, including your chats with the AI, the files and images you upload, the websites and apps you build, and the data stored in your workspace.
• Messages to us, like support requests and feedback.

Payment information

• Subscription payments. Your card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by Repaint. We receive limited information, like your billing details and the last four digits of your card.
• Accepting payments. If you set up payments for your business, Stripe collects the information needed to verify your identity and business, and your bank account for payouts. We receive information about your account, verification status, and transactions.

Information collected automatically

• Usage information, like the pages you visit, the features you use, and the actions you take in Repaint.
• Device information, like your IP address, browser, and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address.
• Cookies and similar technologies, described in the cookies section below.

2. How we use information

• To provide and operate the Service, including building and hosting your websites and apps, running the AI, processing payments, and sending email
• To provide support and fix problems
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service
• To understand how Repaint is used and to improve it
• To tailor our plans, trials, and requirements to your region, which we determine from your approximate location
• To send you service messages, like billing and security notices, and product updates, which you can opt out of
• To comply with the law and enforce our rights

How we review your content

Our team and our automated tools, including AI, may access and review your workspaces, including your chats with the AI. We usually do this to respond to support requests and fix bugs. We may also do it to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, and analyze how Repaint is used so we can improve it.

3. AI providers

Repaint's AI runs on models from providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, and on open-source models hosted by providers like Fireworks. When you chat with the AI, what you send, along with relevant content from your workspace, is sent to these providers so they can generate a response. These providers can see that information. Under their terms for business use, these providers generally don't use this information to train their models, but they may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring.

4. How we share information

We don't sell your personal information. We share information only in these situations:

• Service providers that help us run Repaint, listed below
• Members of your workspace, who can see everything in the workspace
• The public, for anything you publish on your websites and apps
• Legal and safety reasons, when we believe it's necessary to comply with the law, respond to legal requests, or protect Repaint, our users, or others
• Business transfers, as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets
• With your permission, in any other situation

• Amazon Web Services, for hosting, file storage, databases, and sending email from your sites
• Vercel, for hosting the repaint.com website
• Stripe, for payments, payouts, and business verification
• PostHog, for product analytics
• Resend, for sending Repaint's own emails to you
• Google, for sign-in with Google
• AI providers, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Fireworks

5. Your customers' information

Your websites and apps may collect information about your customers, like form submissions, customer accounts, orders, and bookings. We process this information on your behalf to provide the Service, and you decide how it's used. You're responsible for how you collect and use it, including giving your customers a privacy notice where required. If your customers contact us about their information, we'll refer them to you.

6. Keeping information

We keep your information for as long as your account exists or as needed to provide the Service. We may delete the content of workspaces that are paused, cancelled, or inactive, at our discretion. We may keep some information longer when needed to comply with the law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our agreements.

7. Your choices and rights

You can update your account information in Repaint, and you can ask the AI to export or delete data in your workspace. You can also email support@repaint.com to access, correct, delete, or get a copy of your personal information, or to object to how we use it.

Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and California, you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. You can exercise them by contacting us, and we won't discriminate against you for doing so. Where these laws apply, we process your information to provide the Service under our Terms, for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving Repaint, to comply with the law, and with your consent where required.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences like language and country, and understand how people use Repaint through analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may not work without them.

9. International transfers

Repaint is based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the US and other countries. When we transfer personal information from places like the European Union or United Kingdom, we rely on appropriate safeguards, like standard contractual clauses, where the law requires them.

10. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure, and we can't guarantee the security of your information.

11. Children

Repaint isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll let you know by email or in the app.
